For this assigment, we validated WorldEmp’s proposition for the maritime domain; where can they create a win-win and what’s the best market approach?
For such projects, we take a step-by-step approach in which we start by “peeling off” the maritime cluster to identify the segments for which the proposition can potentially create value. Then, based on relevant developments, we determine the most promising segments with which we conduct validation interviews and highlight the potential win-win.
We capture the results in a concise and visual report of the potential for, and in, the maritime sector. We also provide advice on a practical market approach (where and how to start based on the market potential).
About this type of validation process
Often parties in the maritime and offshore domain can explain technically very well why something is a good innovation. But essential for finding (launching) customers is the so-called ‘desirability’ (is the market waiting for it? What problem are you solving? Where is the pain and how much (potential) value do you create with your solution?) and just as important is the viability (is your business model right and how scalable is it?)
We use our knowledge, expertise and network to find the answers. The trick is to do this early in the process, ideally before, but at least in parallel with the technical validation. Do you dare!
