For Port of Rotterdam and Municipality of Schiedam we co-created to the program of their fieldtrip to the Rotterdam Makers District this year, activated our network and arranged relevant speakers.
Circularity was the central theme and it was an interactive and dynamic afternoon that offered opportunities to discover sustainable innovations and explore new collaborations. Not only did Ruud Muis of the Maritime Remanufacturing Network and Maaike de Rover of Huisman give a glimpse into their innovative & circular initiatives, but we also got an inside look at local entrepreneurs Royal Roos BV & Value Maritime. There was plenty of networking time during the program aboard the Nieuwe Maze and during the closing at the Stadshaven Brewery. About the Fieldtrip
With this third Fieldtrip a tradition is beginning to emerge. Maritime entrepreneurs from Rotterdam and Schiedam meet around innovative topics and make valuable contacts. Directors Egbert van der Wal and Eric van der Schans (Port of Rotterdam) and Alderman Antoinette Laan (Municipality of Schiedam) took the entrepreneurs on an afternoon fieldtrip. The municipality of Schiedam will organize the next fieldtrip in 2025.
