Talking to and with Radio Holland employees from all over the world on diversity, equity & inclusion (DE&I) for a truly sustainable maritime future was a great experience. During our two keynotes we where joined by over 200 employees watching from Dubai to Marseille and from Singapore to Houston and the rest joining us in the HQ office in Rotterdam.
We elaborated on importance of DE&I in driving innovation within the maritime sector. We highlighted how embracing diverse perspectives and fostering an inclusive environment are essential for making the maritime industry future-proof. We shared inspiring examples of what companies can make happen by applying thuis, and role models (female and male!) who are driving the needed change. We closed the session by looking at what our audience could contribute themselves, how to overcome challenges and what a difference everyone can make.
We believe that by championing DE&I, we can unlock new ideas & solutions, drive sustainable practices, and create a resilient maritime industry for generations to come. It was therefore great to be able to share our thoughts, findings and challanges with such a diverse group of people, not only different countries and cultures, but also different ages, experiences and genders.
